What it’s like to work here

We are looking for a Project Coordinator to support the delivery of this £3m NLHF project. You will work closely with the Project Manager whilst also offering support to the area Project Officers. The role of Project Coordinator is very varied, one day you might be compiling the quarterly lottery reports or raising match funding payments from partners and the next you might be posting project news stories on the website or assisting in the planning of a national webinar.

Although the project team works remotely, we are a close-knit and supportive group. There will be occasional travel to the project areas and potential overnight stays, but this would not be more than twice a year.

You will be employed by the National Trust with all the benefits that brings and seconded to the Foundation for Common Land, the lead delivery body for the project. The project uses National Trust finance and procurement systems so experience of these, or similar, would be an advantage.

What you’ll be doing

As the project is currently well into its delivery, we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and is flexible and proactive in their approach.

You will be working closely with the Project Manager and Project Officers to ensure smooth administration of the project including procurement of goods and services and collation of data and info for quarterly claims, monitoring and evaluation and match funding contributions. You’ll also support the Project Manager as appropriate with administering national Partnership and Project Board meetings including preparation of agenda and papers and taking minutes. You will also support the national communications work and keep the projects web content and social media up to date (technical support).

Who we are looking for

A self-motivated individual who can work at pace, is adaptable and well organised.

Experience of online financial management systems, procurement processes and collating data for grant reporting.

Excellent communication skills and experience of managing relationships.

Enthusiastic and ability to motivate others.
