Opportunity: Finance and Administration Officer

We are excited to be recruiting a part-time Finance & Administration Officer to join our team to help deliver our charitable objectives.

This is a varied role covering multiple operational areas including payroll coordination, organisational operations, financial administration, and project support.

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and enthusiastic candidate to join us. The role is part-time and flexible with up to 2 days a week in our Penrith office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finance:

    • Managing internal financial operations including payroll, pensions, payments, VAT returns expenses and income.

    • Maintaining operational budgets and maintaining communication with suppliers, customers and stakeholders.

    • Supporting the Operations Director in developing annual budgets, accounts and in complying with regulatory requirements.

  • Operations and Governance:

    • Organising events, conferences and meetings, including with our trustees.

    • Supporting internal functions including HR, office management and supporting staff in their day to day work.

    • Supporting our on the ground team who work remotely across Cumbria, Yorkshire, Dartmoor and the New Forest.

Applicants should have a minimum of two years of experience in Finance and Administration.

Contract type: Permanent 

Contractual hours: 22.5 per week (0.6), flexi-time to be agreed with line manager 

Location: Hybrid roleIt is expected that you would work from our central Penrith office up to two days a week.

Salary: £27,000 - £37,000 FTE, dependant on experience
