Laura Gray joins FCL as Operations Director

we are delighted that Laura Gray has joined us at FCL as our first Operations Director as a result of generous funding from National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Laura began her career in the community arts, managing a Children’s Gallery in Kent, engaging with local schools and those at risk of leaving the education system to help them see value in themselves and their surroundings. For the last 14 years Laura has worked for leading social mobility charity Brightside, latterly as CEO, and has been at the forefront of its development into an established charity reaching 8000 young people across the UK each year.

Following her appointment Laura said:

“I was drawn to FCL because of its unique positioning and ambitions; placing people first, brave in trialling new approaches and strong in its advocacy of Commons. I am excited to support the brilliant staff team to thrive, developing structures and ways of working that will help build on the strong foundation Julia and the trustees have established towards a sustainable future.”
