Get ready for the Butterfly and Moth Festival 2022 in the Shropshire Hills

We have a planned a programme of walks, talks and surveys to celebrate and learn more about the butterflies and moths found on the upland commons in the Shropshire Hills:

Thu 7th April: Butterfly talk ‘An introduction to the Butterflies & Moths of Shropshire’s Commons’ - Bishop’s Castle

Wed 18th May: Green Hairstreak and Emperor moth survey day - Stiperstones

Wed 25th May: Green Hairstreak and Emperor moth survey day - Clee Liberty

Thu 2nd June: Green Hairstreak and Emperor moth survey day - Long Mynd

Fri 17th June: Join the Bog Squad – wetland search for the Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary - Stiperstones

Fri 1st July: Butterfly ID workshop –Long Mynd

Sat 16th July: Moth morning and Big Butterfly Count - Long Mynd

Sun 31st July: Introduction to moths – Clee Liberty
