This note is the outcome of a meeting held on 8th April 2019 at the University of Cumbria’s Ambleside Campus. The event was convened by the Foundation for Common Land and the aim was ‘Securing Thriving Farm Businesses in an area of International Significance for both its Cultural and Natural Heritage: The English Lake District’.

The event was attended by senior stakeholders from public bodies, environmental NGOs and farming organisations. HRH The Prince of Wales attended the afternoon session. Click the link for the agreed statement that was then adopted by the Lake District National Park Partnership.
