With hotter summers, fire is increasingly a risk on common land, putting lives in danger, damaging the ecology and seriously impacting the local community and economy.

This webinar will look in detail at the work carried out on Dartmoor to create Fire Management Plans so that lessons can be learned and shared. Exploring management to mitigate wild fires and how best to react to them when they do occur. Plus, experienced common land ecologists will discuss the impact of fire, both wildfire and prescribed burning on the ecology of commons.
