Video Diary : Shearing on a Yorkshire Dales Hillfarm, with Will Dawson

Yesterday’s hard work to gather the sheep off the fell, and get them inside before the rain started, was work well done. Today, June 28th, there’s another busy task: all these sheep need to be sheared. In this short film, Will Dawson reveals the process of removing a sheep’s fleece, rolling the wool, marking the sheep with the red mark of the farm (D), and letting the sheep back to the fell.
