Labour of Love Exhibition

The Labour of Love exhibition at Dales Countryside Museum, Hawes

A gallery setting for sharing the Commons Stories: Dales Countryside Museum, Hawes, April 18 - September 8, 2024, then Museum of English Rural Life, Reading, from October 1st.

After two years of visiting commoners and others in Dartmoor, Cumbria, Shropshire and the Yorkshire Dales, it’s great to bring together a selection of work in an exhibition. Photographs, poetry, film clips and audio recordings are all part of this exhibition.

Informative, well set out, nicely integrated photos, text, poetry, video and audio. All excellent quality, allowing the commoners’ work and views to come through clearly, along with the challenges they and the land managers face. Much respect to them for their work and thanks to you for depicting their lives.
