Farmer Led Habitat Assessment on Ingleborough

YDNP Farm Conservation Team complied a Farmer Led Habitat Assessment process for commoners on Ingleborough to assess the quality and quantity of various special and specific habitats on Ingleborough. As Ingleborough is a SSSi it is of paramount importance the farmers have the right data to support ongoing conversations with conservationists and those with an interest in the land. This report is the culmination of that work. Going forward, it is our hope the commoners themselves will continue to assess the habitats regularly to cement their knowledge of the public goods. The work on Ingleborough has spearheaded an equivalent programme in Derwent which is being led by Farmer Network.
